Meet Alicia Ensor
Major: Double major, accounting and finance
Goal: CPA exam; work at a public accounting firm
Alicia initially had her mind set on attending college out of state, but a Distinguished Regents Scholarship changed her mind—and she’s glad it did.
When she visited campus, she felt at home here. “Once I received the scholarship I started realizing all the pluses that WSU has—especially when I visited,” she says. “I realized what a comfortable place it is, and how much it has to offer. I’m really glad I ended up choosing WSU.”
She explored several majors before deciding on accounting and finance. Along the way she was named a Mortar Board Outstanding Freshman Scholar and passed her Junior Writing Portfolio with distinction. And she also finds time to volunteer for Beta Alpha Psi and for Palouse Area Therapeutic Horsemanship.

“I’m really glad I ended up choosing WSU. It’s prepared me well. WSU accountants are highly sought after, so I won’t have to worry about finding a job once I graduate.”
